Just like everyone else, I could use a little extra cash. This was especially true in 2004 when I first started teaching high school. Since then, I’ve come a long way financially, but I want to share some of the earning routines that I’ve employed to successfully supplemented my income, for the past 19 years, even while working full-time. Everyday I spend about 20 minutes completing almost effortless tasks on rewards apps. Over the years, my earning routines have changed depending on my workload and the ebb and flow of availably tasks. Since the pandemic, earning opportunities have changed quite a bit to reflect the economy. However, even with fewer opportunities for passive earning on rewards apps, I still have a few routines that allow me to earn supplementary income.
Here’s an overview of how I earn, routinely, with my favorite rewards apps.
Daily Earning Routines

Morning Routines
- While making breakfast play Shopkick ads and collect my free chips from Pop Slots.
- While eating breakfast look through rebate sites for freebies.
For more information on how to play Shopkick ads, watch this video.

Mid-Day Routines
- When working from home, play TrueX ads on Swagbucks or MyPoints.
- Mid-morning, complete the Miles Trivia and take the Qmee Pop quiz (and post the answer on social media).
- During my lunch break, complete a 25 clicks task or take a short survey on one my favorite survey apps.

Evening and Bedtime Routines
- While eating dinner and/or watching TV, click on MyPoints Bonus Mail and check Evidation for easy click tasks.
- If I’m not too tired from the workday, take a survey or two during TV commercials.
- While winding down for bed complete the daily lists on Upromise, InboxDollars, Swagbucks, and MyPoints.
Weekly Routines

- Once a week, often on Sundays, scan receipts.
- If I’m waiting in a line or I have a random spare 5 minutes, take a survey.
- Make sure all of my cashback apps are syncing properly.
- Make sure Miles app and Evidation are tracking and rewarding my steps.
In this post, I’ve only included my FAVORITE apps and routines. There are other rewards apps that I don’t use often or have been recommended by others. You can read about them in this previous post.
