Vissani Air Fryer Microwave Review: An Affordable Alternative to the Ninja

If you’ve been researching microwave air fryer combos lately, you’ve probably come across the buzz surrounding Ninja’s new microwave. I’m a fan of Ninja appliances myself, so it was one of the first options I considered when shopping for a replacement microwave.

After comparing features, size, and price, I ultimately chose the Vissani Air Fryer Microwave instead. Several months later, I can confidently say it’s the best microwave I’ve ever owned.

While it doesn’t completely replace a dedicated air fryer, it has become one of the most-used appliances in my kitchen.

Vissani Air Fryer Microwave Review: Why I Chose the Vissani Over the Ninja

When I first started looking at microwave air fryer combos, I was convinced I would buy a Ninja.

Our family owns several Ninja products, and they’ve always performed well. The concept of combining a microwave and air fryer into one appliance sounded appealing, especially for saving counter space.

However, two factors changed my mind.

The Ninja Was Too Expensive for Our Budget

The Ninja microwave air fryer combo offers impressive features, but the price was difficult to justify for our needs. I wasn’t looking to spend premium-appliance money when I mainly needed a reliable microwave with some extra versatility.

The Vissani offered many of the features I wanted at a much more affordable price point.

The Ninja Took Up More Counter Space Than We Wanted

Another concern was size.

Many microwave air fryer combo units are quite large, and the Ninja was bigger than what made sense for our kitchen. Counter space is valuable, and I wasn’t interested in dedicating a large footprint to a microwave.

Vissani Offers Multiple Size Options

One of the biggest advantages of the Vissani lineup is the variety of sizes available.

Instead of buying a one-size-fits-all appliance, you can choose a model that works for your kitchen and cooking habits. That flexibility made it easier to find something that fit our space without sacrificing functionality.

The Biggest Benefits of the Vissani Air Fryer Microwave

After using the Vissani regularly, I’ve found that its greatest strength isn’t actually the air fryer feature. The best feature is the Convection Microwave Combo Setting. I get the benefits of using a convection oven, like crunchy food, with the speed of a microwave.

Excellent Microwave Performance

I’ve owned plenty of microwaves over the years, and the Vissani is easily my favorite.

Food heats quickly and evenly. Leftovers don’t end up scorching hot on the outside while remaining cold in the middle. Even when I’m using the microwave-only function, the food cooks more like it is on combo mode. The food has an oven-cooked texture, not rubbery.

Whether I’m reheating dinner, making popcorn, or heating frozen meals, the results are consistently better than what I’ve experienced with previous microwaves.

Easy Cleanup Compared to Traditional Cooking Methods

The combination cooking functions also help reduce kitchen mess for certain foods.

Instead of using multiple appliances or creating extra dishes, I can often prepare food in a more contained cooking environment.

Affordable Alternative to Premium Brands

Perhaps the biggest selling point is value.

You get microwave functionality, air fryer capabilities, multiple size options, and a price point that’s much more approachable than many premium competitors.

For budget-conscious shoppers, that’s hard to ignore.

Cooking Bacon in the Vissani Air Fryer Microwave

One of my favorite uses for the Vissani Air Fryer Microwave is cooking bacon.

Anyone who regularly cooks bacon on the stovetop knows the struggle: grease splatter, messy cleanup, and a stovetop that needs attention afterward.

With the Vissani, I can get crispy bacon in ten minutes with significantly less mess and less cleanup.

The bacon cooks evenly, becomes nicely crisp, and eliminates much of the hassle associated with traditional pan-frying.

This has become one of my favorite kitchen shortcuts, especially on busy mornings.

Can the Vissani Air Fryer Microwave Replace a Dedicated Air Fryer?

This is probably the most important question buyers should ask.

The Honest Answer

For me, the answer is no.

While the Vissani includes an air fryer function and does a respectable job, it hasn’t replaced my standalone air fryer.

Air Frying Takes Longer Than a Standalone Air Fryer

The primary reason comes down to cooking speed.

In my particular Vissani model, air frying takes roughly twice as long as it does in my dedicated air fryer. If I’m making fries, chicken nuggets, or other foods that I frequently air fry, I still reach for my standalone appliance most of the time.

Why Wattage Matters

The lower wattage in my Vissani model simply doesn’t produce the same air frying performance as a dedicated air fryer.

That doesn’t mean the air fryer feature is useless. Far from it.

It’s convenient for occasional use, reheating foods that benefit from crisping, and situations where I don’t want to pull out another appliance.

The key is having realistic expectations. The Vissani is an outstanding microwave with air fryer capabilities, not necessarily a complete replacement for a high-powered standalone air fryer.

Who Should Buy the Vissani Air Fryer Microwave?

The Vissani Air Fryer Microwave is an excellent choice if:

You’re already in the market for a new microwave.
You want occasional air fryer functionality.
You’re looking for a more affordable alternative to Ninja.
You have limited counter space.
You prefer having multiple size options.
You want to reduce the number of appliances in your kitchen.

On the other hand, if your primary goal is replacing a dedicated air fryer, you’ll want to carefully compare wattage and cooking performance before making a decision. Click here to buy.

Final Verdict: Is the Vissani Air Fryer Microwave Worth It?

For my household, absolutely.

The Vissani Air Fryer Microwave delivers excellent microwave performance, useful air fryer functionality, and solid value for the money. It helped us avoid the higher cost and larger footprint of the Ninja while still giving us the convenience of a combo appliance.

What I Love

✅ Excellent microwave performance

✅ Heats food evenly

✅ Available in multiple sizes

✅ More affordable than many competitors

✅ Great for cooking bacon with less mess

✅ Saves counter space

What Could Be Better

❌ Air frying takes longer than a standalone air fryer

❌ Doesn’t fully replace a dedicated air fryer

At the end of the day, I didn’t buy the Vissani expecting it to eliminate every other appliance in my kitchen. I bought it because I wanted a great microwave with extra functionality.

That’s exactly what I got, and it’s why the Vissani has become the best microwave I’ve owned so far.
